Edison launched Small Time Movers in 1993 after returning from the Gulf War as a way to pay his way through college. We are a family-owned and family-operated business serving the South Florida community.

Edison graduated from Sunset High School Class of ’88 in Miami, served in the US Navy from 1988 to 1992, and is a Gulf War veteran. Following his service in the Navy, he entered Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach from where he graduated in 1996 with a degree in aviation. He then studied marketing and international business at Florida International University School of Business in Miami.
The NCAA athlete and professional fighter was the 2003 and 2004 North American Grappling Champion and was ranked number 1 in the 30 to 40 year old category in 2004. (Grappling is the sport of hand-to-hand struggle between unarmed contestants who try to throw each other down.)
